The Dräger Fabius OS is a precision-engineered anesthesia workstation built for reliability, flexibility, and clinical efficiency. Designed around Dräger’s advanced third-generation E-Vent piston ventilator, the Fabius OS delivers ICU-level ventilation performance without requiring drive gas—reducing costs and extending operating time. Its electronically controlled, electrically driven piston system allows consistent, accurate ventilation across all patient populations, from neonates to adults, regardless of case complexity or acuity. The workstation is optimized for low-flow anesthesia, featuring a fresh gas decoupling valve and an actively heated breathing system that prevents condensation (“rainout”) and maintains consistent gas delivery. The COSY compact breathing system ensures efficient gas exchange and quick system response times. Ease of operation is enhanced through Dräger’s intuitive layout and control design, minimizing the learning curve for clinicians. Connectivity via RS-232 and support for Medibus and Vitalink protocols allow seamless integration with automated record-keeping systems. The Fabius OS also features multiple built-in safety systems, ensuring dependable operation even in the event of power or battery failure.
