The GE Aestiva/5 MRI is an MRI-compatible anesthesia machine specifically engineered for safe use near high-field MRI systems—supporting actively shielded 1.5T and 3T magnets with magnetic field strengths up to 300 gauss. Combining compact mobility with robust anesthesia delivery, the Aestiva/5 MRI offers the same trusted performance and interface as the standard Aestiva/5 while featuring integrated SmartVent™ technology for precise, consistent ventilation. Designed for flexibility, the Aestiva/5 MRI can be easily maneuvered between the MRI suite and operating room thanks to its low overall height, compact footprint, and integrated magnetic field monitor. A built-in Gauss Alarm system alerts clinicians when the machine is positioned within a magnetic field exceeding 300 gauss, ensuring both equipment safety and reliable operation. The workstation supports low- and minimal-flow anesthesia techniques, significantly reducing anesthetic agent usage and lifecycle costs. It also includes options for 7100 or 7900 SmartVent ventilators, enabling advanced ventilation modes such as Volume Control, Pressure Control, SIMV, and Pressure Support (PSVPro™) with apnea backup. With a responsive breathing system, integrated machine hoses and cables, and an autoclavable, latex-free patient system, the Aestiva/5 MRI provides both performance and convenience for critical environments.
